At this time of the year the Nominating Committee of the LSCR Board of Directors accepts expressions of interest for future involvement with the Board of Directors. At the October 2024 Annual General Meeting there will be three positions on the Board of Directors up for election for a three-year period ending October 2027.
Voting Members are encouraged to submit qualified candidates for possible nomination and election to the Board. We are looking for individuals that are passionate about LSC Racing, are committed to helping it meet the needs of our members and athletes and are interested in helping to shape its future. Corporate and community leadership experience is also an asset.
Board Members attend monthly board meetings and help support projects approved by the Board. In addition to the opportunity to help shape the future of LSC Racing, Board members also receive free membership at Boler Mountain. All names put forward for these positions, must be received by LSCR no later than September 30th, 2024. LSC Racing has a Directors’ Nominating Committee which makes a preliminary assessment of each proposed nominee based upon his or her resume and biographical information, the individual’s willingness to serve as a director, and other background information. This information is evaluated against the criteria described above and the specific needs of the Board at the time. Based upon a preliminary assessment of the candidate(s), those who appear best suited to meet the needs of LSC Racing will be invited to speak to the LSCR Membership at the annual meeting for potential election to the Board.
