Dryland training

Dryland training is a great opportunity to get in shape for the upcoming season. Our coaches create a fun and engaging environment focused on developing athletes’ balance skills, agility, endurance, strength, and core muscles!

We are offering 2 programs this year:

RD Focused Dryland Training – 8-week program

September 16 – November 18 (excludes October 7 – Thanksgiving & November 11 Remembrance Day)

Saturdays 10am – noon

This program is focused on the Learn-to-Train stage of the Long Term Athlete Development Model getting young skiers ready for the upcoming ski season. The focus is on developing flexibility, agility, balance, and coordination. We aim to provide a well-balanced program of challenging, success-orientated activities, using mainly play based activities to enhance body awareness and develop agility and coordination. All programs will be held in a fun outdoor environment at Boler Mountain.

U Team Dryland Training – 10-week program

September 16 – December 2  (excludes October 7 – Thanksgiving & November 11 Remembrance Day)

Saturdays 10am – noon

This program is focused on the Train-to-Train stage of the Long Term Athlete Development Model with ski racers at different levels of physical development. This will include more formalized ski conditioning tailored for off-snow training sessions that include both aerobic and strength trainability depending on the skier. Racers will be taught and encouraged to continue to practice fundamental movement skills and maintain flexibility, speed and strength outside of formalized training sessions to get ready for the upcoming race season. This program will run for 10 weeks at Boler Mountain and be moved indoors as needed as we get closer to the start of the racing season
